Turns out, it's not just texting while driving that can pose a hazard. Walking down the street with your nose buried in your cell phone can also be a danger!

A fun story during our 5pm news Tuesday talked about actual research done on the topic. In the Stony Brook University study, even the most adept texters deviated from a straight line by 60 percent when they tried to walk while plucking away at their tiny keyboards!

From chin scrapes to broken bones, hospitals report a growing number of texting-related injuries not related to driving. Ouch! Which has me wondering about your texting stories - have you walked into a wall or doorframe? Tripped over your own feet? One person in the story had walked into traffic - a major reminder how serious this can be.... but I'm looking at the lighter side today!
