If you have a few items on your bucket list, you might want to get cracking. In case you haven't heard, the world will end this Saturday, May 21.
Let me get you up to speed. The prediction comes from Harold Camping and his Family Radio ministry. He says he has studied the Bible and, through complex numerical codes, has concluded that on May 21, 2011m a massive earthquake will shake the world apart, littering the ground with ‘many dead bodies.’
Of course, my search for info revealed Camping also predicted the world would end Sept. 4, 1994. He chalked that up to misinterpreting the codes.
Whether you buy into such theories or not, it does get one to thinking what you would do if you knew this was your last day on earth. Think Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" - going skydiving, Rocky Mountain climbing. Or, if rock music is more your thing, Nickelback asks "If Today Was Your Last Day" - would you call old friends you haven't seen? donate every dime you have?
I've been fortunate to realize some of my travel dreams in recent years and I've run a half-marathon, but I still need to get cracking on that book I'm wanting to write, and I'm thinking winning a Grammy is pretty much a longshot at this point! What's on your bucket list? Get philosophical, fun, whatever you wish!
