Country Stampede is in Manhattan this weekend. For some people, it is a summer tradition to attend the concerts, maybe camp for the whole festival. It looks to be another hot one, so be safe and be smart, everyone!
Our summer tradition growing up was a weekend camping trip with several other families. It wasn't exactly roughing it. We did sleep in a tent, but it was a campground with electric hookups, shower facility and swimming pool. Not sure how "rough" it is when you bring a tv along! We never took any big cross-country family vacations, but we sure looked forward to that camping trip.
How about you? Any big summer plans? Do you take a true summer vacation or do you usually stick close to home? And would your answer have been different a few years back, when the economy was better?
