When a headline touts diet "rules" it's okay to break, you know it will catch my attention!
The Healthline article on Yahoo! today promised just such a topic. It explained 5 common rules you might have heard about dieting and why it's okay if you don't follow them to the letter. Really, the common thread is that you need to be flexible and not completely deprive yourself in order to be the most successful at losing or maintaining weight.
To touch on some items on the list - it's okay to eat after 7pm and you don't always have to eat low-fat or fat-free versions. The more important consideration is that you stay within your daily calorie limits. Moderation is the key! You also don't have to avoid entire food groups, as is often touted by diet fads!
