Last summer, I had the wonderful opportunity to get to know an amazing group of young people. Each unique story had a common thread - all are living with juvenile arthritis. Despite near daily pain, they are living their lives, planning their futures and hoping the medications now able to control their symptoms will continue to work - until a cure is found.
With them in mind, I agreed to head up a team for this year's "Let's Move Together" walk. It's coming up May 7 at Lake Shawnee with proceeds benefiting the Arthritis Foundation. This is where I need YOUR help! I'm competing against Chris Fisher of Country Legends 106.9 to raise the most money. The loser gets a pie in the face - and I really don't think that's a good look for me!
I invite you to visit www.wibw.com/arthritis. I'd appreciate any donations you can make to the cause or, even better, sign up for my team, collect your own donations and join us at Lake Shawnee on May 7th! If neither of those are possible, at least take some time to listen to the stories of the young people I've posted there. They are inspiring - and will make you want to fight for a cure, too.
