There's something about dreaming big together.
So says Mitch Matthews, who founded the Big Dream Gathering by accident in his living room several years ago! From a get together with a couple dozen friends to ballrooms and convention centers, the idea that we all have dreams and perhaps have something to offer each other in making them come true has helped the Big Dream Gathering grow.
The event comes to Topeka for the first time Tuesday and I hope you'll take time to check it out. You can stop in from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center. Stay as long as you wish. The simple premise is that you write your dreams on a piece of paper, hang it on a wall, then see what happens. You might look at other people's dreams, offer encouragement or advice - or maybe even a lead on a resource for making that dream come true. Others may do the same for your big dream.
At the very least, let this be an invitation to allow yourself - even challenge yourself - to dream big. What have you always wanted to do? What did you want to do when you were a kid but perhaps have forgotten?
You can learn more about the event and hear from some big dreamers who are living their dreams at www.bigdreamkansas.com. You can share your dreams there, too. But, better yet, come share with other big dreamers Tuesday night. See you there!
