Tuesday is the big day - Election Day, Decision Day, Do-Or-Die-Time. This is your chance to make your voice heard. If you don't vote, don't complain if you don't like how things are going a few months from now.
This election cycle continues the upward trend in advance voting. Many people find it convenient to swing by their local elections office at their convenience or request a ballot by mail and send it back without going anywhere! I am still old-school. I guess I just like the tradition of election day as an event. I start the day (usually) by hitting my polling place, then spend the night watching the results unfold. Some election nights, of course, are longer than others! But one thing you can always count on? Pizza in the newsroom!
I am interested, as always, to see how this election night unfolds. Will the races be called as early as the polls would make you think, with wide margins of victory? Or will there be some suspense, with at least a couple races having the potential to come down to the wire? It doesn't appear anyone is letting up, judging by the number of phone calls, emails, mailings and even neighborhood door knocking I've seen in the past week.
What's your take on election day? If you're of age to vote, but don't, why not? And which races are you most interested to watch the outcome Tuesday?
