This winter wonderland has our furnaces working overtime - or does it? As I put an extra blanket on the bed and throw on a heavy sweatshirt, I wonder how many people are concerned about keeping the thermostat turned up. Each time it kicks in, that's extra dollars tacked on the utility bills. With a tight economy, are people worried about the price of staying warm? We've always kept our thermostat turned down - mainly because we have a wood burning stove and a fireplace as extra heat sources when we're home. But what about others who don't? Are more people grinning and bearing it with a shiver so they can make ends meet? I'd love to hear how you're surviving the chill. Do you let the furnace run and not worry about it, or are you taking other steps to keep warm?
