A friend of mine posted this on Facebook, and I thought it would be fun to try here. It's inviting you to write a "Nearest Book Note."
* Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
* Turn to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post that sentence along with these instructions in a note to your wall.
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.
I was in the room we use as our office at home, and the nearest book was a Wllie Nelson autobiography that we've been meaning to give to my husband's aunt. The fifth sentence on page 56 is, "Her latest recording of "I'll Fly Away" with Alison Krauss is one of the best renditions I've heard." He's referring to Gillian Welch. However, the page begins with a poem, and the fifth line on the page is, "Invaluable time lost." I'd love to hear what's within your reach! And don't worry about it being too silly. On Facebook, the responses include recipe instructions and financial steps!
