When it comes to Thanksgiving, I'm all about the side dishes! Oh, I like turkey well enough, but I can pass is up until the leftovers to make room for dressing and cheesy potatoes and green beans with cheese sauce and mashed potatoes with gravy and noodles and... well, you get the idea. My brother-in-law and his family are hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year. So far, I'm in charge of bringing green beans. I had planned on using green beans from my garden that I have in the freezer, smothered in cheese sauce. But then one of my nephews mentioned that Jolly Green Giant brand green beans are the only way to go - and they have to be that brand, with no embellishments like cheese sauce in the way, or he can tell the difference! So it looks like we'll have two dishes of green beans! Let's not even get started on the desserts! While I am looking forward to the food, I also have much for which to be thankful. For starters - that having such a feast won't be a challenge for our family, when it is for so many others. I'd love to hear your Thanksgiving thoughts - and pass the side dishes!
