My morning routine usually involves cooking dinner. You see, I work a nightside schedule, while my husband works dayside, so I make dinner in the morning, bring it to work and we try to eat together in between newscasts so he can head home and I can get on with work. While I was humming along in the kitchen yesterday morning, something caught my eye. I hadn't quite closed the towel drawer all the way and I thought I saw something moving. We have three cats in the house, I thought, so mice shouldn't be a problem. I peered into the crack, and saw two little bright eyes peering back at me: I wasn't a mouse, but you might call him a little rat! Our youngest cat, Mini, had climbed into the towel drawer and thought it made just the best hiding place. Just to clear things up - don't call Mini "Minnie" like a girl's name - it's "Mini" as in "mini-me." His mom was a neighborhood stray who moved him and his five brothers and sisters into our garage. We got to calling them the "mini-Sammie's," which we've shortened to Mini for him. He's kind of sensitive about it :o) |

RESPONSE: Oh my goodness! I'm just glad kitty was okay!
RESPONSE: Thank goodness Mini got out of the drawer before nature called!
RESPONSE: You're not kidding - Mini has already displayed a "curiousity" by standing on his little hind legs, with his little front paws on the edge, peering into the dryer! I always have to locate all the kids before closing the dryer door.
RESPONSE: You know, I thought about it a couple seconds - then knew exactly what was going on! Mini has hopped into the bathroom cabinet where I keep my hair dryer a time or two!
RESPONSE: Our cats like to lay on the *clean* clothing when it's in the basket! Guess that's an incentive for me to put the laundry away quickly!
RESPONSE: Like his own personal campground!
