Personally, I'm a bit tired of this stormy weather pattern we're in, but my dogs are enjoying it. You see, when the thunder and lightning and rain and tornado warnings fire up, Ricky and Lucy and Buddy get to come spend the night in the garage. When they see us get the leashes out in the dark, they run to the gate, rear-ends (not just tails!) wagging in excitement. They pull us up the hill and into the garage doors, as though it's a big slumber party. Perhaps it's the fact that we usually spend close to an hour cuddling and playing and rubbing ears and bellies before they get put in the crates for the night that has them so content with the situation. Yes, they're spoiled. They've spent several nights in the garage the past couple weeks. It's nice to know they're close at hand should we all need to head to the basement. Corralling the cats, however, would be a bit of an adventure!
