Great news about Jennifer Keller, the mom from Home, KS I've written about here a few times before. She's a finalist in Teleflora's "America's Favorite Mom" contest! She and two other moms will appear on the 9 am hour of NBC's Today Show Thursday. Then, online voting will run until 8 Thursday night, with the winner getting a spot in the finals and a primetime special airing on NBC Sunday night! I met the Keller family almost exactly a year ago now. Jenniver, her husband, Nick, (and their daughter, too!) have adopted six children over the past four years. All of them came from drug environments. Jennifer has become an advocate for, not only her children, but all drug-endangered children. She's supported legislation to make illegal drug use while pregnant a crime. She's worked to encourage adoption. If she wins the contest, she says, she'll use the cash prize to take her advocacy work even further. I've included the story we did with the Kellers here so you can learn more about them.
