OK, so there weren't any kittens on hand, though there was a catwalk, and it was actually an event for humans, though I think the puppies on hand did have a good time, too! Saturday night was the annual Bone Appetit dinner, benefiting Helping Hands Humane Society. Carol Stubbs graciously invited my husband and I to attend, and Lindsay Shively and I served as spotters for the live auction. If you've never been, put it on your calendar for next year - the first Saturday in May, to kick off Be Kind to Animals Week. The money raised helps Helping Hands care for some 10,000 animals a year. Check out a few pictures from this year's event. And remember - all the dogs pictured are available for adoption at Helping Hands.
Lindsay Shively and Sebastian applaud their approval.
Dr. Jerry Farley's puppy model was showing off a dress shirt and bow tie!
To go with Dr. Farley's bow tie, how about a Washburn t-shirt for your pup?
It was a western theme, so this pup donned her cowgirl duds!
Trying to drum up bids on a neat handbag.
How's this for a fashion statement?!
