April 15th has come to be treated as a fun holiday by some. Restaurants offer up free sandwiches; bands play music; postal workers stand at the curb. Those rushing to beat the income tax filing deadline are rewarded for their procrastination. Truth be told, I pushed the deadline myself. I knew I'd be writing a check, so I put it off a while, and had the returns safely in the mail Saturday. Meantime, other people had the task complete by the end of January. So which camp are you in? Brief poll of our set - Mark was the overachiever done early; I was Saturday, as I mentioned; and Ralph and Jeremy were hitting the post office today. How about you? And if you wait, why do you wait? I'd love to hear from someone with a big refund coming who didn't try to get it sooner!
