Girl Scout cookies go on sale Saturday, January 19th - so look for your favorite Brownie to be making the round, tempting you with tasty treats! Our newsroom got a tasty little delivery to remind us of the occasion. Of course, I had to ration the Thin Mints to be ensure I would get (more than) my share! They are easily my favorite flavor of Girl Scout cookie and I'm grateful they've stood the test of time. By the way - early in my career here, I finished second in a Girl Scout cookie eating contest - bested a bunch of Washburn football players, only to be defeated by Greg Bailey of the Topeka Fire Department.
