Okay, fellow "Survivor" fans! Who is pumped for Wednesday's debut of the new season?!
This time, the competition will pit old versus young and feature perhaps the biggest celebrity they've had in former NFL coach Jimmy Johnson. I'm not sure how intriguing the age separation will be. The seasons often become a contest of the young guns trying to show off against the older, wiser players, and results have varied. I'm much more interested in how the cast reacts to Johnson's presence. Will his team rally around him as their coach? Will some do that, while others are frustrated by their star-struck teammates? Or will they resent his presence, feeling he has his money and doesn't need to play the game? Remember, previous seasons that mixed veteran players with newcomers didn't always see the veterans greeted with open arms.
While we ponder how it will play out, I spotted this article on Yahoo! today. It talks about how reality shows keep secrets, like the identities of contestants and winners, under wraps. The "Project Runway" situation is especially interesting. Take a look: http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/reality-tvs-bestkept-secrets--1540
We'll dish about the "Survivor" premiere later!
