Wider RInk Doomed RRs in first game with Bandits
Greetings Folks!!   5-2 St. Louis wins.  It's not a bad thing to lose the first game, because it provides the RoadRunners with incentive to win the second, not to mention a little tape to look at.  The unfortunate thing is that the RRs will now have to skate on Saturday and win in order to get that re-match.  The Bandits will have the advantage of rest.   One major impression of the game.  It looked apparant that St. Louis was much more acccustomed to the wider rink than Topeka.  It's an Olympic rink, so it's 15 feet wider.  It doesn't sound like much, but it is significant when you're talking about defending gaps on defense, and filling lanes on offense.  Just my impression.  What do you think?
