Hello there blog.
It's been far too long. But I am going to try and write one of these each day. Even if it's short.
Thanks to everybody for the kind words on our storm coverage from Saturday. We are so thankful that no lives were lost in Kansas in those storms. Our neighbors in Oklahoma lost 6 people at last count.
I was out of the office from April 6 - April 13 for nasal surgery. Basically, I was getting terrible headaches every day and this appears to be the culprit. My first day back at the office was to be Monday the 16th, but there was no way I would stay home during a "high risk" severe weather day.
Each day I am getting a bit stronger. Surgery is not fun. My only previous experience was getting "Wisdom Teeth" pulled at the age of 20.
Today, I had the pleasure if guest speaking at Westar Energy in Topeka. It's been a beautiful day. Sunshine and lower 70s. Ahhh... what a nice day!
I am a bit behind on things... so if you have already seen this link... enjoy it again. But Texas had a "Texas Sized Storm" earlier this month. This is a quote from the article I have linked below. "RAIN PUSHED THE HAIL INTO 3 TO 4 FOOT DRIFTS ACROSS U.S. HIGHWAY 287". YIKES!
