This was 9 years ago. I was leaving KRCG-TV in Jefferson City, Missouri... to take the Weekend Meteorologist position with WIBW-TV. Still makes me laugh to this day. If you haven't seen the Emu video yet... this will make more sense... after you do. I was doing a series called "Jeremy's Challenge"... where viewers basically challenged me to wild things. Like a day at Boot Camp! Or, a day playing Dodge Ball with kids. I even fought 3rd degree Black Belt at one point. Anyway... the staff Voted me off the Island. This was a surprise and aired on my very last newscast at KRCG. |

Jeremy, did you ever think you'd go from week-end to head forecaster?!!! You do a great job and we of the Topeka area sulute you for all the hard work you do. Thanks for 'keeping us informed and safe'. no. i never even considered that as a possibility. was just excited to work in an area where i would cover such WILD weather. jg |
