As of Sunday night... there is a significant chance for freezing rain or freezing drizzle on Tuesday/Wednesday. By Wednesday night and Thursday, we are likely to see a change to all snow. How much snow is a big question mark right now. This will depend on how much moisture is used up as ice/drizzle before turning to all snowflakes.
While there is a question on snow accumulation, it is becoming more and more likely that roads will have ice/snow or a combination of both across much of the Midwest during this huge travel period upcoming.
Please make sure you have good tires before heading out on the road this week. Also, check road conditions before you head out by visiting www.wibw.com or by calling 511.
Please remember that there will be a TON of folks on the road Wednesday/Thursday. Take it slow out there. If I can help with travel info, send me an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or talk to me on Facebook... at http://www.facebook.com/jeremy.goodwin3
