Global Warming Presentation

I am giving a presentation on Global Warming on April 29 at Wichita State University.  This will be at the 3rd Annual Governor's Health Conference.  I will share much of the presentation here on the Blog after I finish the event.

Before I give the presentation... I want to know your thoughts on the subject.

Do you believe that Climate Change endangers the human population?  Do you believe that Global Warming is due to humans or is it natural?  What resources do you trust on Global Warming and Climate Change?  What new facts have you learned on Climate Change recently?

Send me anything and everything you like.

Jeremy

I think it is important to know that Global Warming may not be as accurate a term as Global Climate Change. It is my understanding that the majority of scientists do concur on the fact that our climate is becoming more unpredicable and that humans have contributed to that. I find myself frustrated by people who read one book or review one source of information and then base all of their conclusions on that small bit of information. I also think it is important to know who is producing the information and who is paying for it. I learned years a go in an Ethics class that you can predict the slant of a story/research by identifying who funded the story/research. Ultimately whether you are a believer or not, what is the harm of reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and cutting back on emissions? Cleaner air... healthlier kids... reduced cancer rates... oil lasts 100 more years instead of 50? Sounds good to me!

I believe that the earth has been going through nautral climate swings for thousands of years. I think ten years above average temperature followed by ten years of below averege temperature within a given range is totally normal. No doubt that humans have an impact, but the planet can compensate. Lets do what we can to reduce emmisions through biofuels/alternative energy ect. without going crazy for once.

GLOBAL WARMING? How funny. The temperature of the Earth dropped more in the past 12 months than at anytime in the history of the planet. If that is Global Warming, then I missed something in my science classes. Further, I read online that the temperature on Mars and Venus have increased at exactly the same rate as that on Earth for the past 5 years. I think maybe the global warming nuts need to take a census and see how many humans reside on Mars and Venus. I personally believe that all the global warming hysteria is a scam so that the government can find something else to tax. Put a former Vice-President out in front of the idea, have him put out a documentary and Viola, you have Global Warming Fact, which more than likely is nothing but fiction. There is much talk now about Carbon Footprints and excess Co2 taxes.Sounds more and more like a BIG SCAM.
