What a sad story. The divorce of Heather Mills and Paul McCartney reached a “settlement” today. I have 8 televisions in weather and sometimes leave the sound up on one of them while I work. At about 1:30PM, I heard… “$1400 per hour. That’s how much she made for every hour she was married to Paul McCartney.” How sad. Divorce is clearly a bigger deal to some of us than others… but how disgusting to revel in the “hourly rate” that Heather Mills “made” while being married. Marriage is not employment last I checked. And divorce is not a winning lottery ticket. Finding admiration or joy in the “successful” financial separation of two people is just appalling.
The anchor actually said, “how did I miss out on that”. Truly… what does that say about a person to actually imply jealousy in a person who just got divorced? There is no need to list her name/network, it does no good. It isn’t just her… it’s an attitude that has swept the Paris Hilton mentality that holds much of our nation. The next story… was about a bank that no longer exists due to the ongoing recession. They apparently issued a ton of loans to sub-prime borrowers and are now unable to stay solvent. Had Paul McCartney married the bank, maybe they could have divorced him and been profitable. At least then it would just be a foolish financial dealing and not the end of a marriage.
