This is a viewer e-mail that I received today.

Didn't I see you on the Nebraska Station over the weekend? You were giving the weather for Nebraska and I had to look twice! Don't do that to your loyal viewers - you'll make us question our sanity! Glad it was temporary.

Yes... it was me. KOLN-KGIN and WIBW-TV are owned by the same company... so we cooperate on many things. Right now, they are short a weather person and I was asked if I would be interested in filling in for them on a few weekend days. I decided that it would be a fun opportunity to try something new and to see how another weather staff puts together their information and how another news operation works altogether.
KOLN-KGIN is a strong television station with a rich history very similar to WIBW-TV. And I like Lincoln. It's a city of about 250,000 people with a large university in the middle of it. It seemed like a combination of Topeka and Lawrence to me. If you put KU & the entire population and business community of Lawrence in Topeka... you would get a city that was very much like Lincoln.
The staff at KOLN has made me feel very welcome and I look forward to helping them out until they find the right person for the position.
