I'm not superstitious, but I do know that the 1988 and  2008 basketball championships, and the 2008 Orange Bowl teams have something in common... me.  I was a 7 year old kid watching from the corner seats at Kemper Arena when Danny and the Miracles beat Oklahoma.  (I actually almost got my dad beat up for a smart aleck comment I made to a Sooner fan). 

I shot sideline highlights at the Orange Bowl as the Hawks knocked off the Hokies.  And I was in the 3rd row of media seats at mid-court when Mario hit his miracle shot to save the day for KU.  I'm not saying the Jayhawks should take this little fact into too much consideration, I just think it's an interesting observation.  I'm trying to figure out if anybody else has been present at the 3 biggest sports moments in the last 20-plus years for KU.
