One of my good friends is leaving Topeka in his dust, as he heads up in the world. 49 Sports Director Nick Griffith is leaving to take a job in Kansas City. It's a funny business, TV. We're so competitive with our counterparts, but at the same time we're a close knit group away from work. I've been lucky to meet a good deal of TV people who've moved on to Kansas City, Wichita, Denver, and the likes, and Nick just happens to be next in line. It's weird that we're competing for the same jobs with our best friends. Ironic, huh?
I wish Nick the best of luck at Channel 9, I know he'll do a great job there. As for 49, they'll miss his leadership, but I'm sure Dave and Killer will do just fine without their "fearless leader."
