This weekend, June 4th and 5th, is the free fishing weekend in the state of Kansas.  You do not need a fishing license to go fishing, whether you are a resident, non-resident, kid, adult, or senior....everyone fishes for FREE. 

In conjunction with the Free fishing weeekend, on Saturday there will be a FREE fishing clinic for kids at Homers Pond in Junction City.  The event starts at 9AM and includes games, prizes, and lots of fun.  Also food and Cake and ice cream will be served.  To sign up call - 785-238-5323.

Also, Cabela's is in the middle of their "Fishing for Millions" promotion.  Basically Cabela's has tagged tons of fish in area lakes..Milford Reservoir, Glen Elder Reservoir, Cheney Reservoir, Cedar Bluff Reservoir, Hillsdale Reservoir, Clinton Reservoir, Kanopolis Reservoir, El Dorado Reservoir.  All have tagged fish in them worth various amounts of money...up to 2.2 million dollars!!! You must register before you can participate, but it is FREE to register.
