The regular firearms portion of the Kansas deer season opens this Wednesday, December 2nd and runs through Sunday, December 13th. The weather looks to turn MUCH colder on Wednesday and the cold weather is expected to continue through most of the season. This should mean good news for hunters who can brave the conditions and stay in the woods. The deer activity should be pretty good. There is even a chance we could see some snow during the middle of next week which would be great for the hunters - not so great for the deer. I hope to get out on a few days during the season. The great part about my job is becasue I get to work at 3AM, I get off work at 1PM. Perfect time to hit the woods for the afternoon hunt.
So what are your plans? Will you get out? Do you have a good spot? Have you already been out during the bow/youth/muzzleloader seasons earlier in the fall? Have you had success? Give me some hunting reports?
Remember, if you are successful do some braggin'. Post your pictures to Drew's Braggin' Wall and I will show them on the morning news casts. Here is the link. http://wibw.mycapture.com/mycapture/photos/Album.aspx?EventID=737952&CategoryID=49240&
