Jayhawks: Big 12 North Champs in 2009?

It has never happened.  The Kansas Jayhawks have never won the Big 12 North football title and played in the Big 12 Championship game.  Could 2009 be their year?  After two excellent performances by the football Jayhawks to end the 2008 season with wins over Mizzou and an impressive win over Minnesota in the Insight Bowl and most of the key players returning, expectations in 2009 will have never been higher.  Nebraska will certainly be stronger in 2009 but Mizzou will be a wild card.  Mizzou will still be strong but will have many unproven players taking the field for the first time.  Then you have K-State.  Obviously not on the level of KU, Nebraska, and Mizzou as far as talent goes, but don't over-estimate the Bill Snyder effect....crazy things have happened before in Manhattan when Mr. Snyder has the head set on.

So what do you think?  Who represents the North in the Big 12 title game on that first Saturday in December?
