If you have ever read my blogs about the Chiefs and Herm Edwards then you know that I am not a fan of Herm. If it was put to a vote on whether or not the Chiefs should keep Herm for 2009, my vote would be to find a new coach. Let me break down the numbers for you. Herm went 2-14 this year, and 4-12 last year...that's 6 wins in two years....24 of the 32 NFL had at least 6 wins just this year. OK, he took us to the playoffs in 2006 with a 9-7 record...so that's 15 wins in 3 years....5 wins per year as the Chief's coach. Unacceptable. I was never a fan of this hire. His record with the New York Jets was an unimpressive 39-41 in 5 years. He never won more than 10 games in one season, and I never remember being scared to play the Jets. The worst thing about it is he thinks he was successful in New York. Herm Edwards thinks a losing record is good. We need to find a coach that knows how to win, and Herm has proven he is not that guy.
Of course that's just my opinion. What's yours?
