An Explanation of Ice Storms

***THE VIDEO SHOULD SAY ICE IN DECEMBER OF 2007, NOT 2008.  Sorry for any confusion***

In NE Kansas we see all types of weather.  In the winter, we are generally concerned with two types of weather...snow storms and ice storms.  Both can cause difficult driving conditions but ice storms can cause major power outages for days while we normally do not get that result from snow storms.  So why do we sometimes see ice, and sometimes see snow?  I put together a nice explanation if you watch the attached video.  If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask.
