Well Today is the day before Thanksgiving and I am salivating over the thought of Thanksgiving dinner.  I love to eat and with Thanksgiving being a day where eating is the main activity, this may be my favorite holiday.  The family gets together and good times are had by all.  The climax of the day is always the meal and one item always on our table is what we refer to as "funeral potatoes"....some call them "party potatoes" or "potato casserole"....you may call it something else.  Whatever you call it, they are amazing.  Here is the recipe for the funeral potatoes that my family makes.

So what's your favorite food on Thanksgiving?  If it's so good, why not share the recipe with the rest of us.  Feel free to post any recipes you want.

Funeral  Potatoes:

1 (26oz) pkg. frozen country style hash brown potatoes

2 (12oz) cans of cream of chicken soup

1 (4oz) stick butter

1 (16oz) ctn sour cream

Melt butter in saucepan:  add soup and heat, then add sour cream and mix well.  Add thawed
hash browns.  Pour into buttered 9x13 inch glass baking dish.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until golden brown.

You can add shredded cheese to top or cereal (crushed Rice Chex or corn flakes), mixed with 4 tblsp of
melted butter.
