Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet
This evening I had the honor of attending the Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Pack 15 from Oakland United Methodist Church. I am an Eagle Scout, so when their Pack Leader contacted me about being a guest speaker at the event, I jumped at the opportunity. I talked to the scouts about the my experiences in scouting and the importance of sticking with it. Several of the boys went through the "Arrow of Light Ceremony" where they cross from Cub Scouts to the Boy Scouts. It reminded me of when I did the same thing, and how nervous I was to become a Boy Scout because they seemed to old. Fun times were had by all and I wish those Webelos the best of luck as they start the trail to Eagle. The food was also excellent might I add.
