Well you don't need me to tell you it has been cold recently.  But how cold has it been compared to our normal temperatures.  Here are some numbers that I put together so that you can understand how cold it has been.

These number are for January 15th-January 23rd.

Average High: 26.28 degrees
Average Low: 4.5 degrees
Average Temp: 15.85 degrees

Normal High: 37 degrees
Normal Low 17 degrees
Normal Avg Temp: 27 degrees

So this past week was on average:
10.72 degrees below the average High Temperature
12.50 degrees below the average Low Temperature
11.15 degrees below the normal average temperature.

To put it simply...it's cold!!

How do you feel this cold streak stacks up against ones from years past?  Not many people around here own ice skates but many ponds have been ruled safe to ice skate on.
