Packer's New Color....Orange
While watching the NFC Championship game on Sunday evening I realized the Green Bay Packers have a new unofficial color....Blaze Orange. The temperature in Green Bay in the first quarter was -1 degree with a wind chill of -15 degrees; during the fourth quarter the temperature was -4 with a wind chill of -20...it was C-O-L-D, COLD. However, the extreme temperatures didn't keep any fans away. To keep warm for the 3 hour game the fans were dressed head to toe in their warmest clothes. Many fans had a top layer that was green or yellow (the official Packer colors) but there were many other fans whose top layer was Blaze Orange. Deer hunting is a way of life in Wisconsin, much like pheasant hunting is here or in South Dakota. This was obvious from the number of fans that had their Opening Day lucky orange on. So what do you think?? How cold is too cold to sit in a concrete stadium in sub-zero temperatures for 3 hours to watch your favorite team. For me the answerer is NEVER!
