In keeping with tradition, here are my initial thoughts on the newest season, with each team's odds to win.

Brent and Caitie: The models. Cate is the infamous South Carolina beauty queen that is a dumb as a bag of rocks. She is proving that again on the reality show. I feel like you have to have some level of intellegence to navigate the globe, so unless Brent can carry the team, I cannot see this team winning. Chances: 10%

Carol and Brandy: The Lesbians. It's funny how the race uses a simple formula for selecting teams, but if you want to get on, have a schtick. I really like this pair though. They are funny and light-hearted, and seem to get along well. Though Brandy looked physically weak on the high-wire, which could cost them. Chances: 11%

Jet and Cord: The Cowboys. Again a schtick. And really, Jet and Cord. C'Mon. How come cowboys always have to have weird names like that. It's like naming your kid Jeeves, you know he's going to be a Butler. But I digress. Love this team's skill set. I am fixing to give them good chances, though there lack of "world" experience could be a facor. Chances: 25%

Jody and Shannon: Easily the team to root for right. A 71year old woman who is a triathlete. She is going to turn some heads. And so is Shannon, but for different reasons. I remember an older guy getting through to the final 3 a few seasons back, so we'll see how far Jody can go. My guess is far, but not all the way. Chances: 8%

Joe and Heidi: This time sort of flew under the radar, unless you count Joe's bathing suit that was pulled so far up you could not see his belly button. Looks like this team gets into some alliance fighting in the next episode, which could be interesting. Color me confused on these two. Chances: 12%

Dan and Jordan: Gay and Straight Brothers. Again? Really? Two years in a row a pair or gay and not gay brothers. I mean, I know it happens, but just makes me think I would have a better chance to get on the show if my brother were gay. But RHODE ISLAND represent. For those that don't know I hail from the great Ocean State. These guys look athletic and sneaky good. Maybe I am a homer, I dunno. Chances: 28%

Jordan and Jeff: Big Brother pair. So I guess these two won Big Brother or something like that. You could have fooled me, I do not watch that. But Jordan is challenging Caitie as the dumbest blonde on the show. After being corrected several times, she still could not figure out the difference between China and Chile. My guess it having some experience on a reality show will help these two. Not my favorite, but they will challenge. Chances: 20%

Louie and Michael: RHODE ISLAND!!!! Two teams, one state = best season ever. I mean c'mon, what is more Rhode Island than these two overweight cops. Their accents are perfect. Reminds me of home. I bet I have seen these two chillin at a Dunkins Donuts on Orms St. or something. I always wondered how the police academy makes you train so hard to become a cop, then let's you grow man boobs once you get in. I mean really, I would love to have these two chase me down after I robbed a bank. I doubt they will be, but we could be looking at a coronary during a stressful event. Chances: 5%

Monique and Shawne: Moms. Look out! I am not afraid of you, I have kids. Ohhhh snap. These two look sharp and shifty, and someone athletic. I do not know how having children will help them though, but more power to them. Chances: 18%

Steve and Allie: Father and Daughter. Despite their horrible mistake on night one, painting inside a home while the confused Chilean painters looked on, I like this team. I feel like there is something about them. I am making them the favorites, though I am sure many will disagree with me. Call it a hunch. Chances 30%
