This is for you Chiefs fans. You can all rejoice, Larry Johnson is gone, now what? Honestly. This actually dates back to the firing of Herman Edwards, who was also run out of town, which is what the public wanted.
We want a new regime, and here it is. Scott Pioli came to Kansas City, made the assessment that it's in shambles and here are the results. A complete cleaning of the closet. First Edwards, then Tony Gonzalez. Tony is a pro bowler, so what. He was part of the old regime, bad attitude.
So Brian Waters decides to speak up on behalf of the locker room. He has since been told to shut up. Have you noticed he's been absent from our cameras this season? Not a coincidence.
Bernard Pollard. You are talented, but not what we are looking for. Have fun picking off Peyton Manning twice while playing for the Texans.
And now Larry Johnson, which is what everyone wanted; A declining player with a terrible chip on his shoulder and a track record of misbehavior and poor decisions.
So here we are. 1-7 and going down. But this is what we wanted. New GM, New Head Coach. New Quarterback. This is it and it’s going to take time. The transformation is complete, so it’s time to move forward, no matter how much time it may take.
