Watch me Freeze, others run
On Saturday the Special Olympics is holding Topeka's version of the Polar Plunge. It's a tremendous chance for people to raise money for a great cause, the special Olympics. Basically, crazy people like myself raise money to jump into freezing cold water. There is also a 5K run beforehand, that a few of WIBW's finest will also be running in.
Come out to Shawnee County Lake Beach to watch this madness, or contribute to the Special Olympics. The run starts at 11, and the jump is at 12. If you can't make it out, be sure to watch Saturday's news or check back here for pics.
P.S. If anyone has done this before, please warn me as to what level I am going to freeze.
