Hello all and welcome to my new blog here at WIBW. I am the news sports reporter here, with one week under my belt. It's been quite a blur for me, moving to Kansas, a state I had never been in a week ago, and starting a new job.

So far, it has been great. I was thrown right into the fire covering KU and KState opening football weekends, and high school football starts tomorrow night. I grew up in Rhode Island, and yes I know you have never met anyone from there, I get that a lot. I also worked in TV sports in Marquette, MI and Wausau, WI before coming here to Topeka. Like most sports guys, I am a junkie, and just about everything I do revolves around sports.

I am a die hard Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, along with Michigan, and my alma mater, Boston University, but I can get down with just about every team. In this blog, I will talk a lot about those teams, so feel free to talk about them, and of course, the Jayhawks, Wildcats or any other sports topics on your mind.

I will also talk a lot about TV, music and basically any other thing that hits my mind. For now what I will ask of you is to help me get used to Topeka. What should I do? Where should I eat? Clubs to join? Help me out!
