by Amanda Lanum We are four weeks through the eight week program trainer, Chris, set up for us for the Morning Show Bootcamp. I'm not gonna lie, the past week and a half I have not stuck to the plan. I've been derailed, but I'm getting back on track starting today with week 5. I've tried to come up with ways to motivate myself to incorporate some sort of physical activity into each day. I've tried writing it on my calendar and bringing clothes to work so I can go straight to the gym... but something always seems to come up and the workout gets put on the back burner. I once heard someone say about church that if you schedule it into your personal calendar each Sunday and treat that time as an appointment with God (you wouldn't cancel or move an appointment with your boss or doctor if it's on the calendar). So, I'm going to try - and I encourage you to do the same - making my exercise time an appointment. If a friend wants to go shopping or if I really just want to take a nap, I need to think "No, this is an appointment and I have to keep it." I know I'll feel better once I can get myself to the gym, or start that jog. I'll let you know how this works out! Easier said than done, right? Please share any tips or motivation that helps you! |
