Charlene Patton's Beef Kabobs w/ Asian Marinade


Sweet and Spicy Marinade

½ cup soybean oil (vegetable oil)
2 cloves garlic
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh green onion
¼ cup fresh lime juice
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
¼ teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes

Place all ingredients in blender and mix on high until thoroughly blended; about 30 seconds. Makes 1 cup

1 ½ pounds boneless beef top sirloin steak or beef tenderloin steak,
cut into 1 ½ inch cubes
1 cup Asian Marinade
Red or Green bell pepper
Small whole potatoes, canned
Water chestnuts
Fresh pineapple chunks

Place meat and marinade in glass dish or a re-sealable plastic bag; stir to coat meat; refrigerate about 2 hours. Remove meat from marinade. Alternate beef with other ingredients on kabob skewers. Grill about 15 minutes turning occasionally until desired doneness (medium rare (145°F) to medium (160°F). Serves 4 to 6
