We are just six and a half weeks from the Kansas Marathon, Half and 5K... and I feel far from trained! It's been tough to motivate myself to go to the gym, hit a trail for a jog, or even pop in a workout DVD and get moving in my own living room. I don't know what's caused the stalemate, but I know I need to get out of this slump and get my rear in gear... literally!
It's time to hit the refresh button. Here's how: I just got new running shoes and I'm ready to break them in (gotta run to do that!). To keep from getting bored with my training schedule, I'm going to take a few classes at the gym. I'm thinking about kickboxing and spinning. Step aerobics is a fun one, too. Looking back on how far I've come also always helps remotivate me.
