On Your Mark, Get Set, GO!

Morning Show Bootcamp has started and we've all set our goals. Mine is to improve my race time in a 5K, 10K, and to be ready for a half-marathon by spring! Amy Schmidt has said she'll run the half-marathon with me so I won't be going it alone.

To start out, our trainer, Chris, has set Dave, Drew and myself up with a training schedule to follow for the next seven weeks (through November 28th). I'll post my schedule for you next time so you can follow along if you'd like to join me! The schedule matches up perfectly with the Rescue Run in Topeka on Saturday, Nov. 28th.

This past weekend I ran the WOW 5K race in Lawrence. My time was one of my worst (30:22), but the run actually felt good. So, I'm marking that as my starting point, and after seven weeks of Bootcamp training, we'll see how much faster my time is for the Rescue Run 5K.
