I hate running in the cold. But I do enjoy jogging outdoors and participating in races for good causes. So, for me, "race season" runs from about March through November.
I kicked it off this past weekend with the YWCA's Race Against Racism. I ran this 5K last year and this one holds a special place in my heart because it was my first ever medal in a race. :) This year... not so much. It reminded me how important it is to keep up the training --- I came in one and a half minutes slower than last year!

So it's time to get back on the ball because more races are on their way and (fingers crossed) warm weather is, too!
