Just as the song goes the most wonderful time of the year is of course Christmas. You can't beat Christmas it's awesome, so don't even think about it. However, one time of the year that comes pretty close has to be the month of March. Full of madness the month of March has become the sequel to the most wonderful time of the year. Some teams, the ones that usually end up jumping up and down on Sunday once they see they made the field of 64, might argue that that magical moment, followed up by a trip to a tournament site, is the best time of the year. You can't argue that isn't a magical time, I mean who doesn't remember when Hampton coach Steve Merfeld was lifted up in the air by one of his players kicking his legs in excitement when Hampton pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Tournament history knocking off Jamal Tinsley and Iowa State!!! Who doesn't remember Valpo's  "Pacer" play when Bryce Drew with 2.5 seconds remaning hitting that 25 foot 3 pointer at the buzzer following a full court pass and tip pass taking out Mississippi!!! March madness is the most wonderful time of the year!!!....Right after Christmas....March Madness is the Most Wonderful Time of The Year-- The Sequel! And I will be right here watching every second it.
