A new, non-profit organization aims to ease the troubles of pets belonging to people who are temporarily homeless.
Pets from the temporarily homeless will now get assistance from "PANT"..short for Pet Assistance Network of Topeka.
It's a new non profit organization dedicated to finding shelter for those animals while their owners are going through a difficult time.
In April of 2008 PANT was granted the status of a non profit organization in Kansas.
PANT does not directly shelter animals but works with other boarding sites in order to give animals a safe place to go while they're owners get back on their feet.

Thanks WIBW for getting this message out to Topekans. PANT is 100% supported by donations so if your viewers and readers can help this great cause it will do a lot of good for these pets.
