Business owners and managers are not too happy about the roaundabout contruction underway across the way. With detours and barricades it hasn't been easy for folks to get around but there have been some changes.

Is the 21st & Urish Rd roundabout necessary?
Yes
No, it's just a hassle.
Not sure.

Thursday Officers were blocking access to a neighborhood road drivers were using to get around the Urish problem. Friday, the decision was made to allow traffic onto SW 17th off Urish and SW Broadview off 21st.

Businesses are feeling the effects of the construction but they're anxious to see the finished product.

Sorry business owners are having a hard time. BUT what WIBW hasn't shown was that the 3 neighborhoods surrounding this mess are also having a hard time. We have to deal with people cutting through our neighborhoods. They are driving at high rates of speed not caring that people liv here. Plus its so bad, that I can't even back out of my driveway without getting smashed by people flying by. Everyone is ticked off by this road closure and could really care less about how fast they are driving by someone's home. Its all about getting home as FAST as they can. The city blames the county for the mess, the county blames the city. What a mess, way to go Topeka!

a stoplight would make more sence, but what do we know, we just live here and drive it everyday.
