It has been one year since the Seneca Grade School and Nemaha Valley Junior High burned in a devastating fire.

Students, teachers and alumni were stunned then. There were many memories lost. A community that needed to move on beyond the past. A community that needed to come together.

So that is what Seneca did. Come together, vote on a bond issue that will help build a new school south of the high school.

Click on the video to see how the superintendent, principal, teachers, and most importantly the students, are doing now.

10 Things You Didn't Know...
Favorite Food:
You can’t beat Mexican food!

Favorite Sport:
Big Hoops fan. I follow Wichita State (go Shockers!), New Jersey Nets and also the Kansas Jayhawks.

Pets:
We can’t have pets at my apartment building, but I’d love to have a cat. My wife likes dogs. I see an argument down the line.

Favorite Season:
Basketball season.

First Car:
1982 citation. It was the worst car known to man. I still have nightmares about it.

Hometown or College:
Originally from the ICT, a.k.a. Wichita. Still go back on some weekends. Fun times.

Favorite Vacation Spot:
Hawaii and New York were both a blast!

Favorite Activity Outside of Work:
Dreaming of going back to work. Just kidding…I’m a big fan of music, sports and spending time with friends and family…and of writing clichéd answers to favorite activity questions. And being sarcastic.

Favorite Movie:
Ghostbusters. Who ya gonna call?

Most and/ or Least Favorite Subject in School:
I always liked History and English, and was horrible at Math. Good thing no one will ever need to be good at math. Except math teachers, I suppose.
