Former "Beverly Hillls 90210" star Jennie Garth talks to 13 News This Morning crew about her TV experiences and building playgrounds with kids.

A recent Kids Giving Back survey by Just Kid Inc. found that kids want to lend a helping hand a lot more than you might think.

That’s why celebrity Jenny Garth and mother of three is working with a non-profit organization building play spaces for children in communities in need of a helping hand.

According to the survey, nine out of ten kids want to help others, yet only one in three volunteer on a monthly basis because they do not have the opportunity. With the help of Lunchables and KaBOOM!,

Jennie is giving kids the opportunity to help their peers get a great place to play where they can be active and have fun.

Jennie not only wants to highlight the importance of getting kids involved in community volunteer efforts, she also wishes to point a spotlight on the dwindling availability of accessible places for kids to play and be physically active.

In a nation where recess is being cut from school schedules, and children seem to be growing up faster than ever before, public play space is a vital part of a community dedicated to the health and well-being of their children.

Kids from all across the nation are encouraged to help make a difference by weighing in on specific aspects of the playground designs.

Kids and adults alike can visit www.Lunchables.com for more information and provide their input on the playground designs.
