The Mulvane Women's Board has been a vital support for the Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University for the last four decades.

Every year, the board adds one piece to the Mulvane's permanent collection. To mark their fortieth year, the board thought it only fitting to look back.

"We're very proud of it, very proud," remarks Jan Mauck, the president of the Mulvane Women's Board. "It's held up so well and I just want to give so much credit to the subcommittee that makes the acquisitions."

But it's not all work on the board. Mauck admits they've all become great friends.

"Oh we have a lot of fun together and a lot of good food. If there's an exhibit and you know we're providing refreshments, you definitely want to come. We have some marvelous hostesses."

The exhibit, "31 Works of Art: The Rich Legacy of 40 Years of The Mulvane Women's Board" will be on display at the Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University.
